Company history
Founded by a coder, for coders
Redpoint Security in its current form was founded by Seth Law in Utah in 2017. By then Seth had spent a couple of decades in security across national and international software and hardware development organizations, financial institutions, and application security consulting firms.
He had used the Redpoint name on one-off consulting engagements since 2009 — which is why our Twitter handle carries that earlier date — but took the company full-time as he increasingly saw how much companies needed advice from someone with real coding experience.
In its 2017 incarnation, Redpoint became an application security firm focused on every aspect of code security: process improvement, framework research, and traditional application penetration testing. Since then we have grown to support successful startups and established Fortune 500 companies alike as they advance their security programs.
